Summer is nearly here and the Ponderosa Lions have been busy as can be. In the past few months we've had the Annual Spelling Bee, The Foothill Schools Track Meet, The Flag Day at the 2 Elementary Schools, and we're planning a Fish Fry Fundraiser. We've also elected a few new officers for the 2009-2010 year. Seems like only yesterday it was January, now it's June....

Calling All Past and Present Ponderosa Lions Club Members!
We are looking for photographs, newspaper articles, event information, and personal memories written in essay (or short story) form.
We are looking for 2 reasons
1) For the memory lane page we'd like to put together for the web page.
2) At the request of PDG Judi Arribere, for the 2017 International Convention (the 100th Anniversary of the Lions Club), they have a project that they'd like to get underway early. You can send e-mail with the information or e-mail to arrange a time and place to meet.
We would really love to hear about the early days of the Ponderosa Lions.
Cous Cous
Enough money was finally raised to build Cous Cous' new home.
Yea!!!
Now we just have to go visit him and see the home that Lions built!
Just head up Hwy 180 until you pass through Squaw Valley, it's only 6 miles or so from there, on the left. There is a fee to enter, but keep in mind that the gate fee is also the money that helps support the Cat Haven, as well the Lion we've worked so diligently to build a home for!
The Ponderosa Lions are 41 years young!
